A foreign hunter led by DFO Wildlife Lower Chitral Farooq Nabi with the support of Ghirat Conservation Committee successfully hunted Markhor in Ghirat Goal.

According to the Wildlife Department of Lower Chitral, a successful trophy hunting of Kashmiri Markhor was done today in the limits of Markhor Point Ghirat Conservation Committee in Lower Chitral.

Cristian Pablo Abelo Gamizo, a resident of Spain, hunted the Kashmiri Markhor permit. The Spanish hunter collected a fee of 219,000 US dollars for the Markhor permit, which is 61.2 million 57 thousand rupees in Pakistani currency. Markhor was 9 years old and the length of the horns was 41.5 inches.
