Peshawar:
Three policemen, including Assistant Commissioner Kurram, were injured in firing on an official convoy coming to a ceasefire between two tribes in Upper Kurram.
According to the SHO, the district administration had launched a ceasefire in Upper Kurram, but the convoy was fired to talk to the other party. Assistant Commissioner Kurram Manan, who led a government convoy, was injured in the shooting.
The hospital administration says Assistant Commissioner Manan was shifted to Boshra Hospital.
Assistant Commissioner was going to Bushehra to establish law and order with Ghulaj Kale, which was fired by Fateh Kale.
Police said three personnel were injured in the firing along with the Assistant Commissioner while the injured Assistant Commissioner Revenue Saeed Manan was shifted to the operation theater.
Tribal leader Shafiq Mathari said that we were busy with the administration and police in the ceasefire that the firing and the shooting took place in Boshra on Friday morning.
District administration Kurram says security arrangements are being made in view of the security situation in the area, while on the other hand, a jirga is underway in the Commissioner’s Office in Kohat.
Successful withdrawal of 66 people trapped in Kurm
Meanwhile, 66 people trapped in Kurm were successful. On Tuesday, 66 people, including women and children, were shifted to a safe location on the recommendation of the leaders. People were trapped by the riots.
