The highway again to Wuhan

BBC China Correspondent Stephen McDonell has taken a highway journey again to the Chinese metropolis of Wuhan, because it nears the anniversary on 23 January of the world’s first Covid-19 lockdown. The virus was first detected in Wuhan in late 2019 earlier than it spiralled into a worldwide pandemic and turned town right into a ghost city with streets empty of residents and autos. The lockdown was lifted in April and our correspondent returned to see how Wuhan and the encircling province of Hubei are faring.Filmed and edited by Edward LawrenceProduced by Lan Pan
