The statement of the eyewitness regarding the death of a young man in the firing on Thursday night near Gabol Park in Gulshan Iqbal area of Karachi turned out to be false.
According to the details, after the incident, the eyewitness shared the video of the statement on social media in which the deceased youth claimed to be the accomplice of the accused who had fled, which was proved to be false and baseless during the investigation.
The SHO of the town, Chaudhry Nawaz, said that the investigation revealed that the shooting happened when the robbers were robbing them in a car in which 3 boys and a girl were riding.
He said that the deceased was a resident of PIB Colony and he was going to his maternal uncle’s house in Azim Gabol Goth when he was shot dead. Immediately after the shooting incident, it was not possible to determine how and by whom the deceased youth was killed, however, the investigation did not reveal any connection between the youth and the shooters and he lost his life as an innocent person.
According to the police, the eyewitness who gave a video statement after the incident is also missing, who has not yet contacted the police and the police is conducting further investigations in this regard.
The CCTV footage of the street related to the incident of the death of the young man has also been revealed that the traffic of vehicles was going on on the road, during which the young man Abdul Maqsad was seen falling and rubbing on the side of the road along with the motorcycle and the cars were also passing by.
The sounds of firing were also heard in the footage, but after a few seconds, 2 people on a motorcycle were seen passing near the young man, in which the accused sitting behind was seen firing at the young man with a moving motorcycle and escaped from there with his partner.
When contacted, a close relative of the slain youth related to the incident said that 17-year-old Abdul Maqsad was a first-year student and worked with his father at a UPS and solar shop in Sadar.
The young man was on his way to his grandmother’s house near Gabol Park on Thursday night when he lost his life due to a gunshot wound in this tragic incident.
When the family members received the news of the death of the young man, they were shocked, the women were overwhelmed with grief, while a large number of relatives and residents of the neighborhood gathered at the house of the young man and expressed their anger over the incident and demanded that the accused involved in the murder of the young man should be arrested and brought to justice.
Meanwhile, the alleged town police have registered a case of killing of a young man by firing near Gulshan Iqbal Block 4-A Gabol Park Main Road against unknown suspects on the complaint of the father.
