RIYADH:
France and Saudi Arabia have agreed to convene a joint conference for the establishment of a Palestinian state.
After a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, the French President said that a conference will be called in June for the establishment of a possible Palestinian state, in which Crown Prince Mohammed Salman will co-chair.
President Macron said that the purpose of the conference is to bring global partners to a platform for the solution of the Palestinian issue, so that steps can be taken towards a two-state solution. He added that France and Saudi Arabia will speed up their diplomatic efforts to resolve this issue in the near future.
The French President indicated the involvement of European and non-European partners in this process.
