In the Senate, a resolution was approved to allow political parties to hold peaceful meetings, opposition members also chanted slogans.
Before the PTI submitted a resolution against the PACA Act, the law minister identified the quorum and adjourned the meeting.
The meeting of the Senate began chaired by Senator Sherry Rehman, the Senate also presented the financial bill and the Income Tax Amendment Bill 2025. The proposals on the bill were summoned till Monday, in ten days the finance committee will submit a report on the proposals while the bill recommendations will be sent to the National Assembly.
The amendment bill 2025, prevention of trafficking in the Persons Amendment Bill 2025 and the Immigration Ordinance 1979 were also approved.

In the upper house, ANP Senator Hidayatullah protested for not being allowed to hold a rally, Opposition Leader Shibli Faraz presented the resolution and said that if there is a peaceful rally in the country, permission should be given. But all political parties, including the PTI, have the right.
Law Minister Nazir Tarard said that it is a matter of Punjab government. We cannot force the provincial government. This draft should be subject to the constitution and the law. PTI rejected the law minister’s proposal.
Senator Shibli Faraz said that this is a text prepared by ANP Senator Hidayatullah. Ali Zafar said that the government and coalition parties have no restrictions on the meetings, the ban is on PTI. The text of this resolution will not change.

Following the speech of PTI parliamentary leader Senator Ali Zafar, PTI senators began to slam Sherry Rehman. He said that Senator Ijaz Chaudhry is not being brought despite the production order, which is why Chairman Senate Yousuf Gilani is not sitting in his seat, you should not sit.
Opposition members protested and shouted slogans when they did not find the floor. Meanwhile, quorum was identified, due to lack of quorum, the meeting was adjourned till 4 pm on Monday evening.
