Justice Jamal wrote that the commission authorized the Chief Justice to form a committee to make the rules. have already been included in the draft, I have shared with you before sending your letter in the proposed draft.
In the reply letter, Justice Jamal said that according to the constitution, the judicial commission has the authority to make the rules. In the judicial commission meeting of December 6, Chief Justice Yahya Afridi unanimously formed a committee to prepare the draft of the rules, for the rules of the judicial commission. I was made the head of the committee.
He said that it is important to mention that by accident many of the suggestions made by you before your letter have been included in the draft rules, remember that the work of the committee is only to prepare the recommendations of the rules and place them before the commission. is
Justice Jamal has said that I have come to know that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has also suggested the names of judges for the Lahore High Court, I am of the opinion that you should suggest more names after the approval of the rules by the Judicial Commission. However, while I welcome your suggestions as commendable, I want to make it clear that the Constitution mandates the independence of the Judiciary.
Justice Jamal said that judges should not only be competent but also honest. The next meeting of the rules making committee will be held on December 16, which will definitely consider your suggestions, as far as the 26th amendment in your letter is concerned. If it has been done, I am refraining from commenting on it as the matter is pending.
