Supreme Court Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel has given remarks during the hearing of the case related to the kidnapping of children that there are laws in the country but they do not follow.
A five -member constitutional bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan, heard the case against the kidnapping of children across the country, in which the court summoned the relevant representative of the National Commission for Protection Children at the next hearing.
During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer took the stand that the court had ordered that the Attorney General meet all IGs. No meeting with IGs till date.
Additional Attorney General Aamir Rehman said that the Attorney General met with IGs, to which the lawyer said that institutions were set up to protect the children but not work.
Justice Aminuddin Khan said that what is his job has to do. We cannot do everything ourselves.
Additional Attorney General Aamir Rehman said that there are rules regarding the protection of children. On this occasion, Justice Jamal Mandokhel remarked that the rules exist, but not implemented.
Later, the hearing of the case was postponed indefinitely.
