Three Israeli soldiers were killed during fighting in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army, while confirming the casualties, said in a statement that Hamas is trying to regroup in northern Gaza, and operations are underway to deal with it.
According to a preliminary investigation by the Israeli Defense Forces, the three soldiers were killed by an explosive device in the Beit Hanun area on Monday.
The number of Israeli soldiers killed in ground operations against Hamas in Gaza and military operations along the border with the Strip has risen to 391.
