Trump announced his name, saying, “I am confident that Tulsi will empower the intelligence community with his courageous leadership, protect constitutional rights and promote peace through power.”
Lack of experience in intelligence
Gabbard does not have much experience of doing direct work in intelligence agencies, however, he served as a Major in the Hawaii National Guard in Iraq in 2004-2005 and is now Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve. In 2020, he presented a candidature for the Democratic President’s post, but supported him after Biden won.
