Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine and the US are ready to sign a mineral deal

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky: Ukraine’s President Wloadimir Jailonsky said on Sunday (March 3) that Ukraine is ready to sign the agreement with the United States for the joint use of mineral resources. The statement came after a historic summit held in London. Jailonsky told during briefing that the agreement will be signed if both sides agree.

The agreement was seen as part of resolving the ongoing struggle in Ukraine and taking money after the war, but the agreement was canceled on Friday after a clash with US President Donald Trump.

Jailonsky said, “Our policy is what was earlier. If the mineral agreement is agreed, then we are ready for it. ” The agreement could have been an important step between the US and Ukraine for Ukraine’s vast mineral resources, which aims to strengthen the economic stability after the ceasefire.

However, when the Jailonski arrived at the White House to sign the mineral agreement, there was a sharp debate between him and President Trump in the Oval Office. Trump reprimanded Jelonski for not being more grateful to the US aid. Trump said, “Either you will compromise or we will be out. If we are outside, you will fight, and I don’t think it would be good for you. ” After this, Jailonski returned without signature and the scheduled press conference was also canceled.

European leaders support
At a summit held in London on Sunday, several European leaders promised to support Ukraine. The summit organized by Britain’s Prime Minister Kir Stmper emphasized on increasing security expenses and forming an alliance to protect the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview to a newspaper that France and Britain are considering a partial ceasefire proposal of a month with Russia.
