Union Cabinet could approve privatisation of 6 airports in subsequent assembly, as Centre units deadline


New Delhi: The Union Cabinet is prone to take resolve on the privatisation of six airports in its subsequent assembly. The Cabinet could approve for privatisation of Amritsar, Indore, Ranchi, Trichy, Bhubaneshwar and Raipur airports.

While Varanasi, Amritsar, Indore, Bhubaneswar and Trichy airports function worldwide flights, Raipur at present handles solely home flight operations.

According to sources, the federal government desires to approve privatisation of six airports earlier than August 15. The bidding course of will start after approval from the Cabinet.
