In June 2024, a private bathroom video of the actress was leaked online, after which Urvashi Rautela was embroiled in controversy. Soon, a debate erupted on social media whether the leaked video was a privacy violation or a PR stunt. Urvashi’s phone call recording with her manager was also leaked online. However, later it was revealed that all this was just a publicity stunt and the leaked bathroom scene was from his film Ghuspathiya. Now in a latest interview he has broken his silence on this entire matter.
Bathroom video was leaked intentionally
In one of her latest interviews, Urvashi claimed that the video was leaked deliberately as the makers had already taken permission from her. Revealing the reason behind the controversial promotional stunt, Rautela shared that the makers contacted her crying as they were debt-ridden and on the verge of selling their land. He resorted to this option for solution. He also claimed that it was to sensitize girls to be careful.
Actually, while talking to Bollywood Bubble, Urvashi Rautela revealed, “She had got some loan, and some loan etc. They had to leave their land and everything. He was about to hit the road and so, he came and discussed it with my business management, head and everyone.”
Why was Urvashi Rautela’s bathroom video leaked?
Urvashi further said, “And then, he took our permission to do a scene in the film, we did not do anything special. That is a good scene of mine in the film. So the request of those producers was whether we can leak it out first. And it was also a kind of awareness that girls have to be cautious. Its purpose was also to create awareness especially among girls to be cautious.”
Let us tell you that the crime drama film Ghuspathiya, written and directed by Susi Ganesan, was released in theaters on August 9. It also stars Urvashi Rautela along with Vineet Kumar Singh, Govind Namdev and Akshay Oberoi.
