Indian actress and model Urvashi Rotila has faced severe criticism on social media for her insensitive statement regarding the attack on Saif Ali Khan.
In an interview, she condemned the attack on Saif, but also displayed her precious jewelry and while talking about Saif started talking about her expensive diamond watch and rings, the video of this interview went viral. After that, people called this behavior of the actress inappropriate and insensitive.
Urvashi later issued a statement apologizing for her words and saying that she did not understand the gravity of the situation initially. He said, ‘Saif Ali Khan Sahib, I am ashamed of my ignorance and insensitivity. Now that I understand the gravity of your case, I sincerely apologize and offer my support.’
It may be recalled that Saif Ali Khan was attacked by a man who broke into his house on Thursday morning, in which he sustained injuries near his neck and spine. He was rushed to hospital, where he is now out of danger after several surgeries.
