The US government will sell $8 billion worth of weapons to Israel.
A foreign news agency quoted a US official as saying that President Joe Biden’s administration has turned off Congress’s proposal to sell $8 billion worth of arms to Israel. The arms sales agreement with Israel will be made after the approval of the Congress and Senate committees.
According to the report, the proposed arms sales to Israel include small bombs, weapons for warplanes, combat helicopters, ammunition and warheads. The US State Department has not commented on the proposed arms sales deal to Israel.
Previously, thousands of protesters against the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza have demanded the US to ban the sale of arms to Israel, but there has been no change in the policy of the US regarding Israel.
