Donald Trump: US President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee Kash Patel was recently informed by the FBI that the agency has been the victim of an “Iranian hack”. According to sources, hackers may have gained access to some of Kash Patel’s communications. During this development, Trump administration sources confirmed that Kash Patel had played an important role in the Trump administration’s earlier action against Iran.
Trump administration spokesman Alex Pfeiffer, without commenting directly on the hack, said Patel, as FBI director, would implement Trump’s policies and take major steps to protect America. He said, “Kash Patel was an important part of our government’s efforts against Iran’s terrorist regime and will work to implement President Trump’s policies to ensure security from America’s adversaries.”
Kash Patel got information about hacking attack from FBI
According to American media reports, the FBI informed Kash Patel and Trump’s team about the cyber attack. However, Trump’s transition team did not comment directly on the incident nor acknowledge it publicly. This incident has opened a new front amid increasing efforts of hacking attacks coming from abroad, in which people close to Trump are being targeted.
Iran’s increasing cyber attacks on America
Iran has targeted officials of Trump’s first administration for the past few years. Recently he shared information stolen from Trump’s election campaign with people associated with Joe Biden’s campaign. In June, Iranian hackers accessed the email account of Trump aide Roger Stone and used it in an attempt to hack the emails of a high-ranking Trump campaign official.

Kash Patel who is an Indian American. Patel is believed to have been one of Donald Trump’s close associates. He is quite famous for his stance against the FBI and intelligence agencies. Kash Patel has now come back into the Congress and public eye after Trump appointed him the head of the FBI. He has been critical of the “deep state” and has talked about reforming the functioning of government agencies. According to information, his proposals include the idea of removing the FBI headquarters from Washington, DC and freeing it from political influence.
