Uttarakhand AAP president resigns, to battle in opposition to CM

Aam Aadmi Party Uttarakhand chief SS Kaler resigned from the put up on Tuesday forward of the Assembly polls scheduled subsequent 12 months. Soon after, the get together introduced three working state chiefs — one every for Kumaon, Garhwal and Terai areas.

Announcing his resignation, Kaler mentioned that the get together has requested him to contest the upcoming election in opposition to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Khatima. Khatima is the hometown of Kaler and he has claimed that he has already began ballot preparations with door-to-door contact programmes.

“Since I have to contest against a chief minister, I want to focus on the constituency and spend more time there. I requested the party leadership to relieve me from the responsibility of state president,” Kaler mentioned.

AAP has determined to contest on all 70 seats within the state. Kaler mentioned that get together will declare candidates for different constituencies on the acceptable time.

The get together has declared retired Army officer Ajay Kothiyal as its chief ministerial face and sources mentioned that he could contest from Gangotri seat. The get together has mentioned convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will go to Haldwani in Nainital district on September 19.
