Gaza: A new video of Dr. Hassam Abu Safiya, the head of Kamal Advan Hospital, has surfaced, in which he can be seen in Israeli imprisonment in handcuffs and arms.
On December 28, the Israeli army attacked Kamal Advan Hospital and arrested more than 350 people, including Dr Abu Safia. Later, he was transferred to the Offer Jail on the occupied West Bank, where he is imprisoned without any trial.
In the video broadcast on Israeli media, it can be seen that Palestinian doctor has handcuffs and feet in the hands of a doctor, while Israeli soldiers are taking them out of the prison cell.
In the video, Dr. Abu Safia told an Israeli journalist that he did not know what the allegations were and why he was arrested.
He dismissed the Israeli allegations, saying that only ordinary Palestinian citizens were treated at Kamal Advan Hospital, not the protesters.
Dr Abu Safia’s son issued a statement on social media, saying that it is unbearable to see his father in the arms, and steps need to be taken for his immediate release. The family alleged that Dr Abu Safia was being subjected to violence and inhumane treatment in jail.
It may be recalled that in October last year, Ibrahim, the young son of Dr. Hassam Abu Safia, was martyred in the Israeli bombing.
