The water crisis in the city has become a serious shape and water supply has been severely affected in different areas for 25 days, while citizens protested and shut down Sakhi Hassan hydrant.
Karachi is the worst water crisis which has severely affected the water supply in different parts of the city and water supply has been stopped for 25 days in several areas, which has caused the citizens to buy tankers at expensive prices.
The affected areas include Korangi, Landhi, Gulshan -e -Iqbal, Jamshed Road, Liaquatabad, Nazimabad, Dastgir, FB Air or various blocks, other areas including Bald, and other areas where severe water shortages have been reported.
On the other hand, a power breakdown has been done at the Gharo Pumping Station and according to the spokesman of the Water Corporation, the power breakdown on Saturday morning was due to which the city could not provide 3 million gallons of water.
The spokesman said that water supply would be affected in different areas, including water supply in Bin Qasim, Port Qasim Town, Shah Faisal Town, PNC Mehran and PAF Base Faisal.
He said that the power supply was suspended for several hours at the Napa pumping station which caused the water supply to be badly affected.
According to reports, the NE pumping station is also underway to make electricity, which has affected water supply.
In the Central District, water -stricken citizens closed the hydrant, protesting against Sakhi Hassan hydrants.
Demonstrators had raised play cards in their hands, which included slogans that water should be given to the Central District, Member of the Sindh Assembly Jamal Ahmed was also present in the demonstration.
Citizens involved in the protest say that it has been several days, there is no water coming in our area while hydrants are supplying water.
Protesters closed both roads and protested, causing water supply to Sakhi Hassan Hydrant for several hours.
