We do not want to fight but will not hesitate to sacrifice, Pakistani ambassador interviewed US Journal

Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said in an exclusive interview to the leading American journal News Week, “We do not want peace with dignity, but if the national dignity has to be defended, the Pakistani nation will not refrain from any sacrifice.”

Pakistan’s Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said in an interview to US Journal News that Pakistan expects the Trump administration to play a constructive role in resolving the Kashmir issue.

He said that President Donald Trump’s commitment to end the wars in the world and to establish lasting peace is commendable.

The Ambassador of Pakistan warned that in the current situation, the Kashmir dispute has become the biggest flash point between the two nuclear powers.

He said that unless Kashmir is resolved in accordance with UN resolutions, sustainable peace will not be possible in the region.

During the interview, he termed India’s terrorist allegations on Pakistan as irrational and malicious. He said that Pakistan has been the biggest victim of terrorism and Pakistan’s position against it has always been clear. He termed the Pahalgam incident a Falls flag operation.

Rizwan Saeed Sheikh added that Pakistan wants a peaceful and developed region, because peace in the region is essential for economic development.

He said that Pakistan is striving for economic prosperity while utilizing its geographical status.

The Pakistani ambassador termed the suspension of the Indus Treaty by India a clear violation of the provisions of the agreement and said that India cannot put the burden of its internal failures, oppressive policies or electoral needs on Pakistan.
