The Pak Air Force destroyed one of the world’s latest missile systems installed on Indian airbase in Adampur area of the Indian state of Punjab, and its cost is estimated at $ 1.5 billion.
According to Indian media reports, after the purchase of Russia, India had installed the defense system in the north, west and eastern regions and aims to use against China and Pakistan.
The report said that the installation of the S-400 system cannot be finalized but a regiment for use against Pakistan has been deployed in the northwestern state of Punjab.
Indian media reported after the Phalgam incident that India had mobilized the S-400 air defense system so that any Pakistani missiles and warplanes would be responded to.
Russia’s S-400 Air Defense System is one of the best air defense systems in the world and what is this S-400 system, let’s know;
The S-400 air defense system is primarily the sophisticated form of S-300 and is a mobile surface-to-air missile system developed by Russian defense company NPO Almaz in the 1990s, which was the modern form of S-300 missiles.
In Russia, the S-400 was allowed to include the defense system on April 28, 2007, and for the first time on August 6, 2007, the first Battalion of S-400 began defense activities.
Russia is now further innovating the system and is now developing the S-500 air defense system after the S-400.
S–400 Ability
The installation of the Russian-made S-400 is possible with a pace and can be enabled by installing it in 5 minutes and has a high level mobile missile system that has the potential to perform its performance.
The S-400 atmosphere is capable of fighting and defusing targets such as warplanes, drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles at a height of 400 km and 30 km.
This modern defense system can mark 300 targets simultaneously and can gradually deal with 36 attacks, equipped with 4 different types of S-400 system missiles, including 40 N6E (400 km of range), 48 N6E 3 (250 km of range), 9 m 96 E2 (120 km).
S-400 also has 360 degrees surveillance and non-visible targets, such as 96 L-6E, to detect and resist warplanes, as well as systems such as S-300, TOR and Paints from the defensive side.
S–How did the 400 system come to India?
India signed an agreement in October 2018 to acquire the S-400 air defense system from Russia and under this agreement, India will receive 5 regimes of this system and the 5 regime agreements were reached for $ 5.43 billion in 2018.
According to Indian media, Russia has so far received 3 S-400 regiments of S-400 and the rest are expected till August 3, 2026, while the delay is due to Russia’s war with Ukraine.
The media report said that India has installed the S-400 system obtained from Russia against Pakistan in the northwest, Punjab.
A S-400 regiment has been installed by India in the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam to deal with Chinese risks in the Line of Ecchal Control (LAC).
Similarly, the Western Regiment of S-400 has been installed in Rajasthan, its main purpose is to use against Pakistan.
According to Indian media, India is developing an air defense missile system project on its own, which will be a long -range defense system and will defend the Long Range Surface Two Air missiles or LR Sims.
It is to be noted that India’s S-400 defense system is considered to be the Israeli Iron Dome collision system, but a regiment has been destroyed during the Pak-India tension.
