
India-USA Relations: PM Modi has interacted with telephone with US President Donald Trump. This is the first conversation between the two leaders after Trump took over.
PM Modi wrote on social media on Monday (January 28), “It was very happy to talk to his dear friend President Donald Trump. He congratulated him for his historical second term. We committed mutually beneficial and reliable partnership We will work together for the welfare and global peace, prosperity and security of our people. America issued a statement about this conversation
The White House said in its statement about the conversation between PM Modi-Donald Trump, “President Donald J. Trump has spoken to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. The President has increased the purchase of US-made security equipment and fair bilateral Emphasis on the importance of moving towards business relations.
In his statement, he further said that the two leaders emphasized their commitment to carry out the US-India strategic partnership and the Indo-Pacific quad partnership. India will host Quad leaders for the first time at the end of this year.
PM Modi spoke on 7 November
The Prime Minister had earlier spoken to Trump soon after winning the presidential election on 7 November last year. During this, Trump praised Prime Minister Modi and described him as a great person and said that the whole world loves him.
On January 20, Prime Minister Modi congratulated Donald Trump on becoming the President of America. He expressed his eagerness to work with President Trump to strengthen relations between India and America and cooperate in shaping the better future of the world.
