Where is Bashar al-Assad? The Syrian Prime Minister told

Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi emphasized the need to find a political solution to the situation in Syria and said that he had last contact with Bashar al-Assad last evening.

According to the Arab media, Hayat Tahrir fighters in Syria have ended the 24-year rule of Bashar al-Assad and have given the task of looking after the country’s affairs until the peaceful transfer of power to Prime Minister Muhammad Ghazi Al-Jalali.

After which, Ghazi Al-Jalali has called for free and fair elections in the country and said that the Syrian people should have the opportunity to choose a new leadership of their own free will.

Expressing ignorance about Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian Prime Minister said that the last contact with the President was last evening and he stressed that we will see what happens tomorrow.

The Syrian Prime Minister added that I do not know where the former president is now and whether he has really left the country.

On the other hand, the Observatory for Human Rights has claimed that Bashar al-Assad has fled abroad from Damascus airport.

There was a heavy presence of the Syrian army at Damascus International Airport and they evacuated the airport after Bashar al-Assad left.

After which the rebel group also captured the airport. Hayat al-Tahrir al-Sham fighters did not face any resistance from the security forces in the capital.

The Syrian Prime Minister confirmed that he was in contact with the head of the rebel groups, Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, and said that he is ready to cooperate with any elected government.

Prime Minister Ghazi Al-Jalali further said that my decision to stay in the country is temporary and the first priority is to bring 4 lakh employees back to work.
