Pakistan’s veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, in a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) video on Wednesday, termed the current Men in Green’s one-nil Twenty20 International sequence victory towards West Indies as a morale booster.
The 40-year-old said that Pakistan had been performing effectively in current T20Is whereas relishing the chance he obtained to bowl throughout the not too long ago concluded T20I sequence towards West Indies.
“Because of rain, all matches could not be played in the T20I series. We played really well in the matches that were played. We played good cricket in the T20I series against England as well. Winning the series against West Indies will be a morale-booster. We should enjoy this victory,” Hafeez mentioned.
“I have never been a full-time bowler but have always bowled with confidence. I had been waiting for a chance to bowl for a long time. I took the opportunity as soon as I received it,” he added.
The veteran all-rounder additionally praised the proficient teenager Mohammad Wasim Jr for his spectacular efficiency towards West Indies.
“Mohammad Wasim Jr showed his talent in the series. I always say that when a youngster is given a chance, he should be given a proper and full chance. I am happy that he received a full chance during this series,” he concluded.
