Winter holidays: Punjab faculties to reopen from Jan 7, says Murad Raas


Punjab minister welcomes college students and academics again to highschool and urges them to comply with COVID-19 SOPs

LAHORE: Punjab Education Minister Murad Thursday introduced that the colleges within the province that had winter holidays until January 6 will resume lessons from tomorrow (Friday).

“All schools of Punjab that had winter vacation till January 6th, 2022 will open tomorrow January 7th, 2022,” the training minister stated in a Twitter message.

“We welcome our students and teachers back to school. Please follow COVID SOPs issued by the government.”

The Punjab authorities on December 21 had notified a revised winter trip schedule, with separate dates for the varied districts of the province that aren’t witnessing notably excessive ranges of smog.

According to the notification by the School Education Department, all private and non-private academic establishments in Kasur, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Pakpattan, Sheikhupura, Okara, Vehari, Khanewal, Lahore, Khushab, Hafizabad, Multan, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Nankana Sahib and Jhang have been to watch holidays from December 23 to January 6, as smog ranges in these districts are greater than others.

On the opposite hand, academic institutes in Jhelum, Mianwali, Attock, Muzaffargarh, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi, Rajanpur, Layyah, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Chiniot, the place smog ranges are decrease will observe winter holidays from January 3-13 and in the mean time will proceed the continued vaccination drive in faculties.
