
A girl who broke her hip whereas roller-skating on the age of 12, forcing her to desert her dream of taking part in soccer, has mentioned she cried when she discovered she had a spot on the GB ladies’s wheelchair basketball group on the Paralympics.
Lucy Robinson, from Mountsorrel in Leicestershire, mentioned: “None of us expected it and I just started crying.”
The major faculty instructor, who’s the youngest member of the group, was recognized with avascular necrosis following her harm, that means the blood provide to the tip of her bones is disrupted.
She mentioned she wished to encourage different younger individuals to vary their life by way of sport.
