A special court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Bengaluru on Monday (December 30) sentenced a Bangladeshi national to seven years of rigorous imprisonment for promoting terrorist activities in India.

Giving information, officials said that Bangladeshi citizen Zahidul Islam was promoting terrorist activities in India at the behest of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh India (JMB-India).
