The police arrested 2 people on the charge of black magic on the president of the African country Zambia.
According to a foreign news agency, the police officials have said that 2 live chameleons and other goods have been recovered from the accused.
Zambian police said they had arrested the two accused of trying to harm the South African country’s president through witchcraft.
The police statement said that Justin Mabolisi, a Mozambican citizen, and Leonard Phiri, from a village in Zambia, were arrested in the capital, Lusaka.
According to the police officials, various items used for black magic, including live chameleons, were recovered from the suspects. The accused were accused of practicing witchcraft.
According to the Zambian police officials, the arrested suspects aimed to harm President Hikande Hatchel Ma, the head of Mission State, and the suspects are being further investigated.
Police alleged that the couple was being held by the rival MP’s brother, who is facing charges of robbery, murder and escaping from police custody.
