Amarnath Yatra temporarily suspended to facilitate restoration work

This decision, by Shrine Board authorities and Border Roads Organization (BRO), comes in action because of the reduction in the flow of pilgrims and the need for urgent repairs and maintenance of the Yatra tracks. Since its commencement on July 1 this year, the Yatra has recorded over 4.4 lakh pilgrims so far.
