EC suspends Telangana Tourism MD, sacks OSD for flouting code

The Election Commission of India has suspended the MD of the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) and sacked the OSD to the MD for accompanying a cabinet minister during his visit to Tirumala last month. The ECI cited this as a violation of the model code of conduct and has initiated departmental proceedings against the MD and OSD.
