Global Tourism investment soars to USD 856 bn; WTTC predicts 11.5% growth

Despite a 22.5 per cent lag from 2019, Travel & Tourism investment surged by 11.1 per cent in 2022. Asia-Pacific and Africa excelled, showcasing 161 per cent growth since 2000. The US, China, and Saudi Arabia led the investments chart. WTTC envisions a full return to pre-pandemic levels by 2025 with APAC and Caribbean exhibiting strongest growth rates.
