Within the UK, Graeme Biggar, head of the Nationwide Crime Company, stated in December that he wished to see more durable sentences for offenders who possess baby abuse imagery, including that AI abuse imagery “issues, as a result of we assess that the viewing of those photos – whether or not actual or AI-generated – materially will increase the danger of offenders shifting on to sexually abusing youngsters themselves”.
